On April 26th 2009 we had asked everyone to help us celebrate Tommy's life by writing a short message or a memory of him on a balloon and letting it go. This was done in his honour by family and friends across the world. We thank you all.

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Thomas Markus Schindlmayr, who was born in Munich, Germany on July 10, 1969 and passed away on April 26, 2008 in New York. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

Memorial Service New York
Thomas's former colleagues at the UN most generously arranged this service. It was held on Tuesday, May 13th at 1pm at The Church Center for the United Nations, 777 United Nations Plaza, New York NY 10017.
Memorial service Canberra:
A memorial service for Thomas was held in Canberra on Sunday, 18th May 2008 at 11am at 8 O'Malley Place, Googong. All that attended were invited to plant a rose plant in the rose garden created for Thomas.
We would like to thank everyone who attended the service. It was a beautiful day.
Funeral Service in Munich, Germany
The funeral service for Thomas was held in Munich on 11. June., 2008 at the Memorial Hall of the "Neue Südfriedhof" in Munich-Neuperlach.
Urnenbestattung in München
Die Trauerfeier für Thomas fand am 11. Juni 2008 um 10.30 Uhr in der Aussegnungshalle des Neuen Südfriedhofes in München-Perlach statt.
Anschließend wurde die Urne beigesetzt.
